Could we exceed expectations again with this ocean inspired kitchen?
A long-standing client from Gosforth approached us once again for help with her new home by the sea in Tynemouth. She spoke highly of our previous work, remarking that her previous kitchen had been both a joy to use and was often admired.
Naturally, she entrusted us once again, expecting the same exceptional level of craftsmanship and design in her new kitchen.
Her wish list was clear: ample storage, generous worktop space, a painted kitchen in ocean-inspired tones, a walk-in larder, and a traditional plate rack, a much-loved feature carried over from her previous kitchen.
Porcelain tiles in a Versailles wood-grain pattern were chosen for warmth and texture. During the redesign, we uncovered a blocked-up doorway, which we repurposed to add extra depth to the walk-in larder, fitting it with full-height storage racks on the inside of the doors. To enhance light and create a sense of openness, bronze mirrors were integrated into the midway points and an external wall. The kitchen island was custom-shaped to follow the tapered geometry of the room, ensuring both functionality and flow within the space.
This kitchen, infused with coastal hues and exquisite craftsmanship, offers a perfect balance of practicality and elegance. Did we exceed the client’s expectations again? Of course we did!
