The client and their architect were working on the vision of a modern home in Northumberland and we were brought onboard to develop the interior with full architectural interior design.
Through close partnership and regular communication with both, we were able to provide design concepts that seamlessly complemented the architectural plans.
To harmonise with the natural surroundings of Northumberland, we incorporated wenge and other natural materials into our design concepts. This thoughtful integration ensured that the aesthetic of the home complemented its environment, creating a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces.
One of the key challenges of the project was finding ways to adjust the first floor plan to accommodate only a luxurious master bedroom suite. Using design visuals we were able to make recommendations on alternative layouts that resulted in better use of the available space, allowing for the creation of a spacious, comfortable area to relax and sleep in.
Our involvement in this project influenced the development of the floor plan and ergonomics of the property. By carefully considering factors such as flow and functionality, we were able to enhance the overall living experience for the clients, ensuring that every aspect of the design was tailored to their needs and preferences. The end result was a cohesive and functional living space which the HerringtonGate team were very proud to work on.
